Shravan Parsi is the founder and CEO of American Ventures, an Austin-based real estate investment and development firm. Raised in Hyderabad, India, and trained as a pharmaceutical scientist, he worked in product development at Schering-Plough, DPT Labs, and HealthPoint. He bought his first Texas investment property in 2003.
Since then, Parsi has acquired or developed roughly 4,400 multifamily units and multiple commercial properties. His value-add apartment portfolio went full cycle across two market peaks, and every investor was paid back. American Ventures now manages capital from more than 250 high-net-worth investors, family offices, and private equity firms. Its main focus is a roughly $600 million development pipeline along the Austin-San Antonio corridor.
He wrote The Science of the Deal (Forbes Books, 2019), an Amazon best seller about the lab-based method he uses to evaluate deals. He serves on the board of Pratham USA's Austin chapter and is a member of YPO Austin.
